STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's (24-11, 11-2 GNAC) righthander Tyler Laverriere (Biddeford, ME) tossed five hitless innings and struck out 10 in a rain-shortened 14-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory over Norwich University (0-24, 0-11 GNAC) on Saturday morning at Larry Mahaney Diamond.

The Monks recorded 17 hits with 12 different players recording at least one base knock in the lopsided victory. Norwich starter Alexandro Cardoza '13 (Cicero, IL) allowed eight earned runs and fell to 0-3 on the year with the losing decision.

Mike Pratt '13 (Dartmouth, MA) plated Campbell with an infield single in the bottom of the first and the Monks scored three in the second to take a 4-0 lead.

St. Joe's went on to add two more runs in the third before breaking out with eight runs off six hits in the fourth to secure a 14-0 cushion. Freshman designated hitter Alex Lorenc (Nanuet, NY) belted a two-run double and Hadley drove in two with a triple to deep center during the offensive outburst.

The Monks' seven seniors – Campbell, Lee, Kevin Chamberlain (Scarborough, ME), Chris Dion (Lawrence, MA), Todd Keneborus (Hollis Center, ME/Cheverus), Mason Roberge (Franklin, NH) and Student Assistant Travis Probasco – were honored with a brief Senior Day ceremony immediately following the game.
