STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College junior Corey McNamara (West Newbury, Mass.) has earned D3Baseball.com Team of the Week honors.

McNamara, the Monks' closer, tossed three hitless innings with six strikeouts and a pair of saves last week. He struck out four of the six batters he faced over two frames in a 6-3 win over Anna Maria College on Saturday and struck out a pair to finish off Norwich University in a 3-0 triumph over the Cadets on Sunday. McNamara's only blemish during the two appearances was a hit batsman versus Norwich.

In the midst of a dominant season, McNamara is currently 2-1 with four saves and a 0.60 ERA in nine appearances. He has fanned 18 batters while allowing just three hits and one walk over 15 innings and opponents are hitting a paltry .060 (3-50) off him as of April 13th.

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its second season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the ninth Team of the Week of the 2015 season.

Saint Joseph's (19-10, 10-0 GNAC) will play a pair of conference games at Johnson & Wales University on Thursday. The first game is slated to start at 3:00 PM.
