STANDISH, Maine – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has announced that Saint Joseph's College Head Coach Rupert Lewis has been selected to coach in the 2019 Victory Sports/NFHCA DIII Senior All-Star Game.
The annual exhibition game, which will be played this coming Saturday in Manheim, Pennsylvania at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex (5:00 PM), features the top 60 NCAA DIII senior players from around the country. SJC senior midfielder Libby Pomerleau (Limerick, Maine) is one of the 60 players to be chosen to play in the prestigious all-star contest.
This fall, Lewis earned GNAC Coach of the Year honors for the third time in the last four years after leading the Monks to their fourth-consecutive conference championship. Saint Joseph's completed the season with an 18-4 overall record, including an 8-0 mark in conference play, and outscored opponents by a collective 62-23 margin.
The winningest coach in program history, Lewis owns a 193-92 (.677) record over 15 seasons.
