Saint Joseph's Places Fifth at Mariner Invitational

MANCHESTER, Maine – Saint Joseph's College finished fifth with a 339 team card in the Mariner Invitational, hosted by Maine Maritime Academy at Augusta Country Club on Thursday.

University of Southern Maine won the 18-hole event with a 302 score, nine strokes ahead of Maine-Farmington, which finished as the runner-up with a collective 311 card.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD:

Bates College freshman Andrew Garcia-Bou claimed Medalist honors with a 72, one stroke ahead of USM's Alex Carroll. Eric Aguiar (UMF) and Grayson Waterman (USM) finished tied for third (75) while Tom Murray (USM) and Gavin Brickley (UMF) tied for fifth (76).

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Southern Maine Fall Classic, hosted at the Gorham Country Club, on Sunday and Monday.
