Monks Top Eagles, Caron Earns 11th Career Medalist Honor

LUTZ, Fla. – Saint Joseph's College defeated Husson University by two strokes in a head to head golf matchup at the Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. Senior Michael Caron (Gorham, Maine) claimed Medalist honors with a five-over 77 card.

For Saint Joseph's, sophomore Adam Batchelder (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) shot an 82 (T3rd), sophomores Adam Hachey (Winthrop, Maine) and Cameron Letourneau (Hebron, Maine) finished tied for fifth with 83 cards, and senior Dylan Cox (Oxford, Maine) finished 10th with a 92 score.

For Caron, the Medalist honor counts as the 11th of his collegiate career – the most in the history of the Saint Joseph's golf program.

The Monks, in the midst of the program's first-ever Spring Break southern trip, toured the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine today and face Coastal Georgia University at Jekyll Island Country Club (GA) tomorrow. The team returns to Maine on Saturday.
