Monks Top Nor'easters in Spring Event, 333-360

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College defeated University of New England, 333-360, in a head to head golf match at Dunegrass Country Club on Saturday. Senior Michael Caron (Gorham, Maine) earned Medalist honors after posting a 77 card in the event.

For the Monks, sophomore Adam Batchelder (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) posted a 79, freshman Tyler Johnson (Windham, Maine) carded an 86, sophomore Cam Letourneau (Hebron, Maine) recorded a 91, and Brendan Donovan (Auburn, Maine) turned in a 95 card.

For the Nor'easters, senior Sam Kinasewich (Sandwich, Mass.) posted an 82, sophomore Seth Semmelrock (Pomfret Center, Conn.) carded an 86, senior Ryan Mahoney (Haverhill, Mass.) shot a 96, and sophomore Garret Krisko (Binghamton, N.Y.) registered a 96.

Saint Joseph's, the 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Champion, will be practicing for the remainder of the spring in preparation for the NCAA DIII National Championship, which will take place at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida May 16 – 19, 2017.
