GORHAM, Maine – Saint Joseph's College placed second out of three teams with a 320 card in an early season match at the Gorham Country Club on Friday.

SAINT JOSEPH'S SCORECARD:

• Junior Adam Hachey (Winthrop, Maine) paced the Monks with a 78 (38-40) score
• Junior Adam Batchelder (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) shot an 80 (39-41)
• Sophomore Brendan Donovan (Auburn, Maine) added an 80 (39-41)
• Junior Cam Letourneau (Hebron, Maine) recovered from a tough front nine with an 82 (44-38)
• Senior Brandon Labrecque (Gorham, Maine) chimed in with an 82 (42-40)
• The Monks also suited up three "B Team" players with sophomore Tyler Johnson (Windham, Maine) notching a 79 (37-42), junior Noah Estey posting an 88 (46-42), and senior Marc Poirier (Lunenburg, Mass.) shooting a 91 (44-47)

OTHER TEAMS:

Southern Maine won the event with a 314 team score after featuring three golfers with sub-80 cards. University of Maine-Farmington also posted a collective 320 card and finished third by virtue of the fifth golfer tiebreaker.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD:

Despite posting a 42 on the front nine, Southern Maine's Grayson Waterman captured Medalist honors after torching the back nine to the tune of a stellar 34 card. Hachey finished in a three-way tie for second with USM's Tristan Dundas and UMF's Eric Agular.

Saint Joseph's will host the 15th Annual John Queenan Memorial Tournament at Point Sebago Golf Resort. Opening tee time is slated for 10:00 AM.
