2010-11: One of four players to start all 28 games as a junior swingman…averaged a team-high 33.4 minutes per game…led the Monks in scoring (16.9 PPG), rebounding (4.8 RPG) and assists (4.3 APG)…joined SJC all-time great John Wassenbergh ’96 as one of just two players in program history to lead the Royal Blue in all three categories in the same season…also paced the Monks in field goal percentage (48.4%, 186-384), field goals made (185) and steals (35) as a junior…his 474 points in 2010-11 is the highest total since former teammate Elbie Murphy ’09 netted 480 in 2006-07…tabbed as a team co-captain, along with classmate Chris Petzy, prior to the season…garnered First Team All-GNAC and Second Team All-State honors…became the 34th member of the Monks’ 1,000-point club in a win over Rivier College on February 15th...one of just 12 players in team history to reach the plateau as a junior…netted at least 20 points in 11 different games and registered four double-doubles as a junior…scored a season-high 28 points against Johnson & Wales on February 8th and dropped 27 the next game versus Lasell College…tied a career high with nine assists against Emmanuel College on January 8th…named MMBCWA Player of the Week on February 14th and was listed on the organization’s weekly honor roll three times…also garnered GNAC Honor Roll mention on January 31st.

2009-10: Started in all 26 games as a sophomore for the Monks…averaged 33.5 minutes per game, which was the highest for the Monks…recorded two double-doubles and scored a career best 29 points against Lasell College where he shot 12-17 from the field and 2-3 from long range…averaged team-highs of 14.5 points and 4.1 assists per game…corralled 5.0 rebounds per game and shot 44.3% (141-318) from the field, 38.2% (26-68) from three-point range and 75.3% (70-93) from the charity stripe for the Monks…O'Brien led the Royal Blue in scoring in eight different games and netted at least 20 points on six occasions…garners second team all conference for the GNAC…named to the Maine honor roll three times and named to the GNAC weekly honor roll twice.

2008-09: Played in 25 games and made 19 starts...averaged 24.4 minutes per game...tallied 8.6 PPG and 4.4 RPG...made 80% (36-45) of his free throw attempts and shot 47.5% (84-177) from the floor...led the Monks with 18 points and 8 rebounds in a win over Southern Maine on November 30th...led the team in scoring in three games and rebounds on four occasions...collected his first collegiate double-double with 19 points and 13 boards against Albertus Magnus on February 10th...named GNAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week on December 1st...garnered Maine All-Rookie Team honors following the season.

High School: Played for Garry Horne at Bishop Gibbons (NY) ... averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in guiding the Golden Knights to a 17-8 record and a Section II Championship ... recorded career-highs of 26 points versus Schenectady, 16 rebounds versus Amsterdam, and 11 assists versus LaSalle. After the season, he was named NYSPHSAA 4thTeam All-State, 1stTeam All-Section 2 (Times Union), 1stTeam All-Big-Ten and News Channel 13 All-Star.
