Casale Earns Second-Consecutive Top Rookie Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been released and Saint Joseph's College freshman guard Jack Casale (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) has been selected as the GNAC Corvias Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period.

Casale averaged 7.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Monks and notched his first career double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds in an overtime loss at UMaine-Farmington on Tuesday.

Through four games for the 2-2 Monks, Casale is averaging 9.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He currently leads the team in rebounding and free throw percentage (80%, 8-10) and ranks second on the squad in assists (12) and three-pointers made (5).

Saint Joseph's resumes play Saturday when the team travels to Boston for a 3:00 PM GNAC contest at Suffolk University.
