STANDISH, Maine – Weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College sophomore guard Jack Casale (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) has been selected as the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches & Writers Association (MMBCWA) Co-Player of the Week.

Casale averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 58/44/86% in a 2-0 week. Casale shares the weekly accolade with Thomas College sophomore guard Justin Butler (Orlando, Fla.), who averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a pair of victories for the Terriers last week.

For Casale, the MMBCWA weekly honor is his fifth of the season. He was also listed on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honor roll for his play last week.

Through February 19th, Casale is averaging 23.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 52.5% (207-394) from the field, 45.8% (97-212) from three-point distance, and 72.0% (85-118) from the FT line. He currently leads the conference in three-pointers made (97), ranks second in defensive rebounds (202) and scoring average, third in field goals made (207) and total points (596), and fifth in three-point shooting percentage, total rebounds (227), and rebounding average.

Saint Joseph's, the #6 seed in the GNAC Tournament, will host #7 University of Saint Joseph (CT) in a conference semifinal on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
