STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced that Saint Joseph's College junior midfielder Cody Elliott (Gorham, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the second time this fall.
Elliott lifted the Monks to a 1-0 victory over eighth-seeded Emmanuel in a GNAC quarterfinal on Friday with the game-winner in the 77th minute.
Through 18 games this season Elliott has tallied five goals and 14 assists for 24 total points. He leads the conference, and ranks fourth in NCAA DIII Men's Soccer, in assists.
In 54 career contests Elliott has scored 12 goals with a program-record 30 assists for 54 points. The junior standout is currently tied for fourth among all active NCAA DIII Men's Soccer leaders in career assists.
Saint Joseph's (18-0, 11-0 GNAC), ranked fifth and 10th nationally in the latest D3soccer.com and United Soccer Coaches polls, respectively, will host Colby-Sawyer College in a GNAC Tournament semifinal on Tuesday at 5:30 PM.
