Men Finish Fourth at Bowdoin College

BRUNSWICK, ME – The Saint Joseph's College men's track and field team opened the 2013-14 indoor season with a fourth-place finish in the Bowdoin College Invitational on Saturday.

Senior Faisal Abdillahi (Lewiston, Maine) notched a runner-up effort in the 400-meter dash (51.19) and sophomore Sam Dunay (Groton, Conn.) placed second with a 9.71 time in the 60-meter hurdles event.

The quartet of Connor Dufour (Augusta, Maine), Joe DiSalvo (Derry, N.H.), Nick Shuckrow (Winslow, Maine) and Taidghe Hagan (Reading, Mass.) also posted a team-record 8:47.02 time in the 4x800 meter relay, an effort that was good for third-place in the event.

Bowdoin won the invitational with 143 team points while University of Southern Maine (113 points), Colby College (41), Saint Joseph's (23) and Maine-Farmington (10) rounded out the field of participating teams.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on January 11th with an appearance in the University of Southern Maine Invitational.
