STANDISH, ME – The Saint Joseph's men's and women's indoor track and field teams participated in a pair of events on Saturday. Six individuals traveled to Boston University to compete in the John Thomas Terrier Invitational while the remainder of the team participated in the Bowdoin Invitational in Brunswick, Maine.

In Boston, Lauren Rabideau (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), Marisa Lundy (Merrimac, Mass.), Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) and Amber Dostie (Standish, Maine) combined to post a 13:07.73 effort in the women's distance medley event. The time was just seven seconds off the ECAC Championship qualifying time and broke the program record by nearly a minute.

Senior Faisal Abdillahi (Lewiston, Maine) placed 70th and broke the program record in the 800-meter run with a 1:59.15 effort and sophomore Billy Brooks (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) posted a 24.01 time in the 60-meter dash prelims at BU.

At Bowdoin, freshman Gabby Lodge (Westbrook, Maine) shattered the program's weight throw record by over three meters with an 11.68-meter effort and placed 12th overall in the event.

Sophomore Andrew Caron (Gardiner, Maine) topped his own 3000-meter run record by nearly 10 seconds with a 10:34.79 time and placed 24th overall in Brunswick.

Both squads return to action next Saturday when the men's side participates in the Maine State Championship at Bowdoin and the women compete in the University of Southern Maine Invitational.
