Monks' Split Squads Compete at Bates & Thomas Small College Invitationals

STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed in a pair of events with split squads on Saturday, with part of the roster traveling to Bates College and the remainder trekking to Colby College to compete in the Thomas Small College Invitational.

At Bates, both SJC teams placed fourth, as the women's team notched 39 points and the men's posted 48 points. The Monks also notched a pair of fourth-place finishes at the Thomas Invitational, as the women tallied 15 points and the men recorded eight points.

THE RUNDOWN @ BATES– WOMEN:

  • Sophomore Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) finished second in the 200-Meter Dash (28.18) and third in the 60-Meter Dash (8.41)
  • Senior Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) placed second in the Long Jump (4.13m) and third in the 60-Meter Hurdles (10.56)
  • Freshman Kelsey Kennedy (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) was fourth in the 3000-Meter Run (11:40.36)
  • Sophomore Marissa Hoffman (Waterbury, Vt.) finished fifth in the Long Jump (4.01m)
  • Freshman Emily Colson (Casco, Maine) placed sixth in the 400-Meter Dash (1:11.67)

THE RUNDOWN @ BATES – MEN:

  • Junior Lance Santeusanio III (North Berwick, Maine) finished as the runner-up in the High Jump (1.80m) and Long Jump (5.96m) events
  • Freshman Ricky Reyes (Worcester, Mass.) placed third in the 800-Meter Run (2:04.67)
  • Sophomore Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) finished third in the 5000-Meter Run (16:21.61)
  • Freshman Simon Vinci (Peabody, Mass.) placed third in the Shot Put (13.67m)
  • Junior Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.) was fourth in the 800-Meter Run (2:08.24)
  • Sophomore Shawn Breen (Plymouth, N.H.) placed fourth in the 60-Meter Hurdles (11.39)
  • Junior Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine) finished fourth in the 600-Meter Run (1:36.09)
  • Sophomore Jacob Huberdeau (Atkinson, N.H.) placed fifth in the 5000-Meter Run (16:55.53)

THE RUNDOWN @ THOMAS INVITE – WOMEN:

  • Junior Meghan Glisson (Merrimack, N.H.) won the 800-Meter Run (2:50.45)
  • Sophomore Carly Jordan (Turner, Maine) topped the 1-Mile field with a 6:28.90 time
  • Sophomore Dori LeMoine (Swan's Island, Maine) finished third in the Shot Put (9.59m)
  • Freshman Piper Wetherby (Berwick, Maine) was sixth in the Shot Put (8.78m) and Weight Throw (9.48m) events

THE RUNDOWN @ THOMAS INVITE – MEN:

  • Senior Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) placed third in the 3000-Meter Run (10:57.58)
  • Freshman Andrew Goodall (Richmond, Maine) finished fourth in the 60-Meter Dash (9.44)
  • Senior David Tuttle (Brunswick, Maine) placed fourth in the Weight Throw (9.90m) and sixth in the Shot Put (8.65m)
  • Junior Kristopher Mason (Hiram, Maine) finished fifth in the Weight Throw (9.26m)
  • Junior Connor Rice (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) was sixth in the 3000-Meter Run (12:11.38)

Saint Joseph's will compete at the University of Southern Maine next Saturday.
