Three Team Records Broken at Southern Maine

GORHAM, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College indoor track & field teams competed at University of Southern Maine on Saturday. The SJC men finished eighth with 41 points and the St. Joe's women placed 10th with seven points.

Several team records fell in what was the second indoor meet at USM this season, as sophomore Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) broke the Monks' 1-Mile run mark and ran a leg for the team's record-breaking 4x800-Meter relay quartet and sophomore Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) broke her program record in the 55-Meter dash (7.67).

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Sophomore Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) won the 1-Mile run and broke the program record by nearly seven seconds with a 4:31.58 time
  • Freshman Simon Vinci (Peabody, Mass.) was the top DIII finisher and placed second overall in the Shot Put (14.19m) and was 11th in the Weight Throw (12.10m)
  • Freshman Ricky Reyes (Worcester, Mass.) finished third in the 800-Meter run (2:01.68)
  • Junior Lance Santeusanio III (North Berwick, Maine) finished fifth in the High Jump (1.85m), 13th in the Long Jump (5.83m), and 23rd in the 200-Meter dash (25.12)
  • Sophomore Jacob Huberdeau (Atkinson, N.H.) was sixth in the 3000-Meter run (9:44.68)
  • Junior Connor Rice (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) finished seventh in the 600-Meter run (1:35.41)
  • Senior Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) was ninth in the 1000-Meter run (3:06.72)
  • Senior Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) placed 11th in the 5000-Meter run (19:09.87)
  • Senior Alex Fitzgerald (Lebanon, Maine) finished 12th in the Triple Jump (11.42m)
  • Reyes, Hendricks, Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.), and Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine) broke the team 4x800-Meter relay record and finished second with an 8:35.21 time

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Freshman Kelsey Kennedy (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) placed fifth in the 1-Mile run (5:33.26)
  • Sophomore Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) broke her program record and finished sixth overall in the 55-Meter dash (7.67)
  • Junior Meghan Glisson (Merrimack, N.H.) finished 10th in the 1000-Meter run (3:43.26)
  • Sophomore Dori LeMoine (Swan's Island, Maine) was 18th in the Weight Throw (10.51m) and 20th in the Shot Put (9.26m)
  • Sophomore Katelyn McCarthy (Londonderry, N.H.) was 18th in the 400-Meter dash (1:14.90)
  • Junior Cassidy Lee (Sullivan, Maine) finished 19th in the Triple Jump (9.27m)
  • Junior Marissa Hoffman (Waterbury, Vt.) placed 20th in the Long Jump (4.28m) and 200-Meter dash (29.46)
