Men Place Eighth at Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's cross country team placed eighth with 229 points in the Bowdoin College Invitational on Saturday. Sophomore Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) led the Monks with a 28:02 performance and finished 31st out of 138 total runners.

With four of the top five runners, Colby College edged Bowdoin for the team crown with 24 points – 13 ahead of the host-Polar Bears. Bowdoin's Bridger Tomlin toured the 8K course in 26:02 to claim top individual honors while Colby's Benard Kibet was the runner-up with a 26:19 effort.

Saint Joseph's is off until Saturday, October 10th when the team hosts the Runnin' Monks Invitational.
