Men Place Eighth in State of Maine Championship

GRAY, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's cross country team finished eighth with 209 team points in the 2016 Maine State Cross Country Championship at the Pineland Center on Saturday. Junior Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) finished 46th and led the Monks with a 27:49 performance.

THE RUNDOWN:

  • Senior Nick Shuckrow (Winslow, Maine) placed 56th with a respectable 28:37 effort after missing several races with an injury
  • Freshman Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) posted a PR 31:10 time and finished 84th
  • First-year Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) raced to an 85th-place finish with a PR 31:10 performance
  • Freshman Connor White (Bayport, N.Y.) was 98th with a 32:42 effort
