    ORONO, ME – University of Maine (12-26-1, 3-7-1 America East) blanked Saint Joseph’s College (30-7, 23-3 GNAC), 5-0, in a non-conference softball contest on Wednesday afternoon. Junior Heather Tripp (Lovell, Maine) went 2-3 and was the only repeat-hitter for either team.

    STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s (30-6, 23-3 GNAC) split a conference doubleheader with Norwich University (20-14, 15-11 GNAC) at Richard W. Bailey Field on Sunday afternoon. The Monks suffered a 2-1 setback in the opener and rebounded with a 9-0 mercy-rule victory in the nightcap to earn the split.

    STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s (29-5, 22-2 GNAC) took two from Saint Joseph (Conn.) (17-21, 12-14 GNAC), winning the opener 2-0 and completing the sweep with an 8-0 mercy-rule triumph in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball action at Richard W. Bailey Field on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore pitcher Theresa Hendrix (Scarborough, Maine/Cheverus) tossed a perfect game and fanned three batters in the first contest.

    STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s (26-4, 19-1 GNAC) swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader versus Mount Ida College (16-22, 8-16 GNAC) at Richard W. Bailey Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Monks toppled the Mustangs by a 9-1 margin in a six-inning opener and edged the visitors, 2-1, in the closing contest.

    BOSTON, MA – Saint Joseph’s (27-5, 20-2 GNAC) split with Simmons College (21-12, 17-5 GNAC) in a conference twinbill on Thursday afternoon. After dropping the first game 11-2, the Sharks came from behind to hand the Monks their first loss since March 30th, ending their 18-game win streak.
