Monks Close Out Home Twinbill with Third Place Finish

BRIDGTON, Maine – Saint Joseph's College finished third with a 4:14.10 aggregate time in the second of two giant slalom races at Shawnee Peak on Sunday.

Bowdoin won the event with a 4:03.71 cumulative time while UMaine-Farmington was second (4:08.53), and UMaine-Orono finished fourth (4:18.72). Bowdoin's Elizabeth Scott captured the individual title with a 1:17.50 (38.56/38.94) time.

THE RUNDOWN:

  • Freshman Annie Cerminaro (Unityville, Pa.) finished third with a 1:19.57 time (39.42/40.15)
  • Sophomore Sarah Hotchkiss (New Durham, N.H.) was ninth with a 1:26.91 effort (43.48/43.43)
  • Freshman Sarah Lachance (Auburn, Maine) placed 11th with a 1:27.62 performance (43.99/43.63)
  • Freshman Jillian Luby (Wolfeboro, N.H.) finished 12th with a 1:27.94 time (44.32/43.62)
  • Freshman Tucker Davis (South Berwick, Maine) posted a DNF with a 41.84 on the first run

Saint Joseph's returns to action next Saturday at Lost Valley in Auburn. The event begins at 10:00 AM.
