Grogan & DaGraca Claim GNAC Weekly Honors

STANDISH, Maine - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been released and a pair of Saint Joseph's College women's soccer players have been honored

Freshman Adia Grogan (Kennebunk, Maine) has claimed GNAC Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week honors and senior Haley DaGraca (Saco, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Player of the Week.

Grogan helped the Monks earn three wins last week (two in OT) as she made 11 saves in the trio of contests, including eight saves in a huge conference 1-0 overtime road victory at Johnson & Wales, a result which almost certainly will have an impact on playoff seeding. Overall, she posted a 1.26 GAA on the week (0.92 in conference) and .733 save percentage (.833 in conference play).

DaGraca was a clutch performer for the Monks last week, registering eight points with a goal in each of the Monks' three wins, highlighted by the senior captain's game-winning goals in overtime victories over Emmanuel College and Johnson & Wales University.

Grogan currently ranks second in the conference in goals against average (1.05), wins (10), and shutouts (5). The weekly honors are a career-first for the freshman keeper.

Through October 15th, DaGraca leads the GNAC in goals (14) and game-winning goals (5) and is second in points (32). The GNAC weekly honor is the third of her collegiate career.

The Monks' all-time leader in goals (64), points (141), and game-winning goals (18) ranks – among active NCAA DIII Women's Soccer players – fifth in career goals and sixth in points.

Saint Joseph's will host Colby-Sawyer College in a conference matchup on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.
