SJC women defeat Albertus Magnus, 143-64

STANDISH, Maine - Saint Joseph's College defeated Albertus Magnus College, 143-64, in a head-to-head women's swim meet at the Harold Alfond Center Pool on Saturday afternoon.

QUOTABLE:

"I am really happy with our swims today," adds Head Coach Jared Felker. "Our focus was less on times and more about making positive changes and improvements in our strokes and technique.  Though not perfect yet, we made some pretty big strides today." 

THE RUNDOWN:

  • Senior Emily Roy (Sidney, Maine) placed first in the 50-Back (34.83), 100-Fly (1:18.20), and 100-Back (1:13.84) 

  • Senior Alexis Coiley (Fort Fairfield, Maine) won the 200-Free (2:19.43), 50-Breast (37.87) and 500-Free (6:26.89) events 

  • Freshman Madison Mills topped the 50-Free field with a 28.25 effort and won the 100-Free (1:03.81) and 50-Fly (33.56) races 

  • Senior Autumn Nostrom (Lyman, Maine) won the 100-Breast (1:23.25) and finished second in the 50-Free (28.80)  

  • Freshman Delaney Young placed second in the 200-Free (2:30.32) and 100-Free (1:08.30) events 

  • Sophomore Abby Lenko was second in the 1000-Free (16:18.84) 

  • Sophomore Hannah Kibbon (Augusta, Maine) finished second in the 50-Fly (36.16)
