Monks Open Outdoor Season at Tufts Snowflake Classic

MEDFIELD, Mass. - The Saint Joseph's College outdoor track & field team opened the spring season with an appearance in the Tufts University Snowflake Classic on Saturday.

Overall, 18 athletes combined to compete in 27 total events in the spring season opener.

THE RUNDOWN:

Junior Meghan Burke (Falmouth, Mass.) placed 13th in the discus throw with a 30.20-meter effort
Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine), Shannon O'Malley (Turner, Maine), Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.), and Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) placed 10th in the 4x100-meter relay (1:20.00)
