Monks Open 2019 Campaign with Three Matches at UNE

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College volleyball team opened the 2019 campaign with three matches at the University of New England on Friday and Saturday. The Monks fell to UNE 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-9) on Friday evening and dropped a pair of 3-0 setbacks on Saturday, first to Southern Maine (25-12, 25-16, 25-18) and then at the hands of Maine Maritime Academy (25-15, 25-15, 25-22).

Saint Joseph's will play four matches in the Husson Eagles Classic next weekend, starting with a 6:00 PM contest versus Bates College on Friday. The Monks will also face Curry (10:00 AM), Plattsburgh (12:00 PM), and Husson (2:00 PM) on Saturday.
