STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College (4-13, 2-2 GNAC) split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball tri-match at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday. The Monks opened with a 3-0 setback at the hands of Norwich University (8-6, 2-1 GNAC) and capped the day with a 3-0 triumph over Anna Maria College (2-11, 0-3).
NORWICH 3, SAINT JOSEPH'S 0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-15)
LEADERS – MONKS:
- Sophomore Sarah Quinn (Dover, N.H.) tallied two kills, three digs, and a pair of block solos
- Freshman Hanna Holden (Stoughton, Mass.) added nine assists and seven digs
- Sophomore Olivia Kent (Ellington, Conn.) notched five kills
- Junior Erin Olson (Stoughton, Mass.) chipped in with three kills and three total blocks
- Junior Madison Provencher (Rochester, N.H.) led the team with 11 digs
LEADERS – CADETS:
- Kathryn Farnum led all players with 14 kills and added 10 digs
- Michele Zummo tallied nine kills and five digs
- Sarah Farnum posted a match-high 34 assists with eight digs
- Brianna Dawson added 14 digs
SAINT JOSEPH'S 3, ANNA MARIA 0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-12)
LEADERS – MONKS:
- Quinn posted a .350 attack rate with 10 kills in 20 attempts and eight digs
- Holden dealt 15 assists with three aces
- Freshman Amanda Darby (Shrewsbury, Mass.) added 13 assists, two aces, and four digs
- Senior Kelsey Bickford (Somersworth, N.H.) contributed five kills
- Provencher produced eight service aces with nine digs
- Freshman Isabel Philbrick (Milford, N.H.) chipped in with two kills and three total blocks
LEADERS – AMCATS:
- Bella Kozciak notched four kills
- Ashley Sheehan delivered six aces with a pair of kills
- Julia Ramos added seven assists and 14 digs
