NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Saint Joseph's College (7-17, 4-4 GNAC) suffered a pair of 3-1 losses at Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon. The Monks opened with a setback at the hands of Rutgers-Newark (17-8) and fell to the host-Falcons (8-16, 1-6 GNAC) in the nightcap.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Senior Kelsey Bickford (Somersworth, N.H.) posted 14 kills with just two errors in 39 attempts for a .308 attack rate with three service aces
  • Sophomore Olivia Kent (Ellington, Conn.) added eight kills with a .320 attack percentage
  • Freshman Hanna Holden (Stoughton, Mass.) dealt 27 assists with four kills and eight digs
  • Junior Madison Provencher (Rochester, N.H.) recorded 12 digs

LEADERS – RUTGERS-NEWARK:

  • Comfort Akinbo posted 24 kills in 51 attempts
  • Sharon Starling tallied 19 kills on 41 bids
  • Karly Gregoire notched 52 assists with seven digs
  • Analis Capobianco chipped in with 17 digs

For the Monks, the total of 35 points scored in the fourth set is the most in a frame since St. Joe's fell by a 38-36 score in the second set versus Norwich University on September 13th, 2008.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Sophomore Nicole Baron (Dover, N.H.) posted an impressive double-double with 16 kills and 20 digs
  • Kent registered 15 kills
  • Bickford added 11 kills and 14 digs
  • Holden dealt a career-high 46 assists with three kills and 11 digs
  • Provencher contributed with a career-high 32 digs

LEADERS – ALBERTUS MAGNUS:

  • Maria Vazquez tallied 19 kills and 18 digs
  • Diana Kalman recorded 15 kills and 14 digs
  • Jaiden Williams added 51 assists and 29 digs
