Volleyball Class of 2024 Announced

Volleyball Class of 2024 Announced

STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College volleyball Class of 2024 has been announced.

Head Coach Jon Roberts' third recruiting class features six newcomers - all from New Hampshire - and includes two outside hitters, two defensive specialists, and two setters.

The volleyball Class of 2024 adds athleticism and versatility to the Monks' roster. As a group, the recruiting class brings a wealth of club and high school playing experience and Coach Roberts will look for each newcomer to see meaningful minutes on the court this fall.

"I am very excited about this group of student athletes," adds Coach Roberts.  "They bring a lot of experience to our team and will help elevate our level of play.  They've been through a crazy senior year of high school and this unique situation has allowed our current team to bond with this group of freshmen more than any other.  We are excited to welcome them to campus and see what this resilient group of young ladies can do in the classroom and on the court."

The Monks lost just two seniors – outside hitter Kelsey Bickford and defensive specialist Bailey Gryskwicz - from a 2019 squad that went 8-22 overall, including a 5-7 record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play, during Coach Roberts' second season on the SJC sidelines.
