WATERVILLE, ME - The women's cross country team finished in 7th
place, a finish that was expected, according to Coach Tom Dann. "We
felt that the teams ahead of us are just a little out of our reach
at this point, but we would be disappointed if any other schools
had caught us."
The team didn't disappoint as Sarah Willis one again led the Monks
with 30th place (21:25). She was followed by Aubrey Gray (82nd),
Jasmine Smith (88th), Suzanne Connelly (89th), and Shannon Flynn
(99th).
Coach Dann was impressed with some individual performances,
including Connelly who "really challenged herself towards the end,
outrunning a competitor to the finish" and Flynn who had a personal
best time on a tough course.
