Monks Place 10th in Keene State 5K

KEENE, NH – Saint Joseph's placed 10th with 288 team points in the Keene State College Invitational on Saturday. Junior Amber Dostie (Standish, Maine) placed 57th with a 21:30 effort to pace the Monks in the 5K event.

Audrey Curry (Perry, Maine) (105, 23:41), Mikaela Rowell (Derry, N.H.) (106, 23:46), Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) (123, 25:30), Grace Dancoes (Falmouth, Maine) (124, 25:30), Melissa Deplanche (Dover, N.H.) (128, 26:03), Victoria Ramos (North Scituate, R.I.) (130, 26:36), Cynthia Andrews (Seal Harbor, Maine) (132, 26:52), Kristina Schelling (Pelham, N.H.) (142, 29:01) and Meghan Fullerton (35:01) also competed in the event for Saint Joseph's.

Featuring three of the top five finishers, Brandeis claimed top team honors with 52 points, just seven points ahead of runner-up Keene State. Chloe Boutelle of Saint Michael's captured individual accolades with an 18:44 effort, only two seconds faster than Amelia Lundkvist of Brandeis.

Saint Joseph's College takes to the trails again next Saturday when the team hosts the Runnin' Monks Invitational. The women's race starts at 11:00 AM.
