Fisher & Hendricks Earn GNAC Weekly Honors

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have announced and a pair of Saint Joseph's College cross country runners have earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Freshman Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) and sophomore Lauren Fisher (Hampton Falls, N.H.) have been selected as the GNAC Cross Country Men's and Women's Rookies of the Week, respectively, for the second time this fall.

Hendricks led the Monks with a 28:12 time and finished 73rd over in the Maine State Invitational meet, which featured the majority of top teams in New England, on Saturday. The freshman standout has paced the Monks in all four of the team's events this fall.

Fisher, a first-year runner, paced the SJC women and finished 68th with a 24:55 time in the 6K race in the Maine State Invitational. She has been the Monks' top runner in each of the last two events.

Saint Joseph's will host the Runnin' Monks Invitational on Saturday.
