STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College Department of Athletics is accepting nominations for the 20th annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which will be held on the SJC campus during the 2023 fall semester.
Established in 2000, the Saint Joseph's College Athletic Hall of Fame was founded to honor past athletes, faculty, staff, and friends who, through their actions, have brought distinction through athletics to themselves and to Saint Joseph's College. Consideration is also given to good sportsmanship, academic achievement, and citizenship.
Candidates become eligible for nomination five years after receiving their bachelor's degree at Saint Joseph's College. A person who has not received a degree may be nominated, but not until five years have elapsed since they originally would have received a degree.
Nominees may also include coaches, athletic trainers, administrators, or any others who have made outstanding contributions to athletics at Saint Joseph's College and/or those who, subsequent to their years at Saint Joseph's, have distinguished themselves in the field of athletics.
Nominations for the Hall of Fame will be accepted until March 10th. Please contact Associate Director of Athletics for Communications Corey McCarthy for nomination inquiries or suggested biographical updates and edits.
