Stephens Claims Fourth GNAC Rookie of the Week Award

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman Luke Stephens (Glastonbury, Conn.) has been tabbed as the GNAC Baseball Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.

In a 5-1 week for the Monks, Stephens hit .357 (5-14) with four runs, a double, and two RBI and allowed a run off four hits with a strikeout in three innings on the mound.

Through 27 games this spring, Stephens is hitting .294 (20-68) with 15 runs, five doubles, a triple, two home runs, and 13 RBI. In six pitching appearances, the sophomore righthander is 3-0 with 1.47 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 18.1 innings.
