Why Saint Joseph's? After speaking to Coach Sanborn on various occasions Saint Joseph's felt like the right fit for me, with a great baseball program.

Before St. Joe's: Played two years at Southern Maine Community College, where he hit .343 with 33 runs, 12 doubles, and 40 RBI in 35 games as a freshman and .267 with 26 runs, six doubles, three home runs, and 23 RBI as a sophomore…On the mound, Sayers notched five saves while fanning 32 batters and walking only six with a 2.57 ERA over 21 innings as a freshman…Earned USCAA Baseball Player of the Week honors and helped the Seawolves win a pair of YSCC titles.

High School: Played baseball and softball for five years at Benoni High School…Named as the MVP of the baseball team and Best Batter for the softball teams all five years…Played club for Benoni Indians Major A for three years…Named as the Indians' MVP and Best Pitcher all three years and the Best Batter in 2018 and 2019…Landed on the Dean's List and a member of the Honor Society…Selected to play for the U18 and U23 South African Baseball Teams and competed in World Cup events in Canada and Colombia.
