Field Hockey Ends Season with Loss at Keene

Keene, NH - Keene State, ranked 4th in NCAA DIII New England West, defeated St. Joe's 6-0 on Friday night. Six players scored goals as the Owls improved to 14-4 overall and the Monks fell to 6-10.

Amanda Wirzbicki (Gardner, MA), Steph Georgevits (Concord, NH), and Jess Mirisola (Tewksbury, MA) scored first half goals for the Owls. Mirisola's goal came on a penalty stroke with no time remaining.

Alyssa Rowell (Queensbury, NY), Kat Trimmer (Worcester, MA), and Liz Rand (Peterborough, NH) added second half goals. Rand's goal was her first intercollegiate goal.

Sara Joyce (Hampstead, NH) and Jennifer McDoughall (Avon, CT) combined on the shutout for the Owls. First year Karrie Sirois (Thomaston, ME) stopped 15 shots for the Monks.
