SJC Field Hockey Team Receives National Academic Award

STANDISH, ME - The 2007 Saint Joseph's College Field Hockey team has been recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for academic achievement with a 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award. The team posted a collective 3.15 GPA during the fall semester.

Nine SJC Field Hockey team members recorded a GPA of 3.30 or higher and were named to the 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad: FY Maria Arsenault (Berlin, NH), SO Kerrie Boutin (Georgetown, MA), FY Alyssa Dunn (Standish, ME), JR Kelly Emerson (Vassalboro, ME), SO Kimberly Glynn (Danvers, MA), SO Julia Ostrowski (Albany, NY), JR Lauren Snow (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), JR Kara Squillante (Boothbay, ME) and SO Allison Zellers (Concord, NH).

The team shined both in the classroom and on the playing field with a program-best 14-7 record in 2007.
