Five Monks Named as NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction

GENEVA, N.Y. — This year more than 470 student-athletes have been recognized as National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Scholars of Distinction and five Saint Joseph's College players have earned the high academic honor.

Kassidy Collins (Gardiner, Maine), Paige DeMascio (Greene, Maine), Molly McCluskey (Orono, Maine), Sadie Tirrell (Naples, Maine), and Anna Walker (Scarborough, Maine) have been named as NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction.

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2022-23 academic year.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Middlebury College placed the most student-athletes on the Scholars of Distinction list this year, with 11 honorees each.
