CASCO, MAINE - Seven schools participated in the annual John Queenan Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Saint Joseph's College at Point Sebago. Husson won the event with a team score of 302. Freshman Chris Coffin (Presque Isle, ME) of Husson was the medalist with a 71.
The Monks finished in second with a team score of 333 and were led by sophomore Andy LeConte (York, ME) with an 82 and junior Francois Renaud (E. Middlebury, VT) with an 83. Senior captain Jeff Peterson (Naples, ME) and freshman John Whiteman (Old Orchard Beach, ME) both carded an 84 and junior Chris Deroche (Portland, ME) finished with an 86.
St. Joe's plays in the USM Fall Classic on October 1-2 at Sable Oaks Golf Club in South Portland beginning at 12:00 noon on the 1st and 9:00 AM on the 2nd.
