Mathieu Earns GNAC Golfer of the Week Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Drew Mathieu (Windham, Maine) has earned GNAC Golfer of the Week accolade.

The Monks opened the 2022 season with an appearance in the Southern Maine Tri-Match at Riverside Golf Course on Thursday afternoon where Mathieu earned Medalist honors after shooting a one-under par 71 and the Monks placed second overall with a 314 team card.

For Mathieu, the weekly GNAC honor is the second of his career as the 2021 GNAC Player and Rookie of the Year was named as the conference Rookie of the Week on September 27th, 2021. 

Saint Joseph's hosts the Queenan Memorial at Point Sebago in Casco this Thursday, September 8th.
