Foley Named MMBCWA Player of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Maine Men's Basketball Coaches & Writers Association (MMBCWA) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College grad student Griffin Foley (Portland, Maine) has been selected as the MMBCWA Player of the Week.

Foley averaged 22.0 points, 5.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while shooting 53.6% (15-28) from the floor in a pair of contests last week. The grad student guard netted 25 points off a 7-for-11 shooting performance from the floor and a 10-for-12 effort from the FT line in an overtime loss to Colby on Friday and posted his second career double-double with 19 points and 10 assists in a triumph over Coast Guard on Saturday.

The MMBCWA Player of the Week honor is the second of Foley's college career - his first honor came on January 13th, 2022. He was also listed on the MMBCWA honor roll twice during his senior season.

Saint Joseph's will play at Bates College tonight in a non-conference tilt set to start at 7:00 PM.
