Frazier Named MMBCWA Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Maine Men's Basketball Coaches & Writers Association (MMBCWA) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman guard John Paul Frazier (York, Maine) has been selected as the MMBCWA Rookie of the Week.

Frazier averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 assists while shooting 61.1% (11-18) from the field and 45.5% (5-11) from three-point range in a 1-1 week for the Monks. The freshman guard led Saint Joseph's to a win over Husson University on Saturday with a team-high 18 points along with five boards and three assists in the 91-74 triumph.

Through four games this season Frazier is averaging 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 56.3% (18-32) from the floor and 50.0% (10-20) from three-point distance.

Saint Joseph's will play at UMaine-Farmington tonight at 7:30 PM.
