Standish, ME - After 48 scoreless minutes, Husson College recorded 4 second-half goals to defeat St. Joe's 4-1.
Senior Oscar Ody (Novo-Hamburgo, Brazil) snapped the deadlock as he netted a pass from freshman Hiroki Ueda (Shizuoka, Japan) at 48:26. Eight minutes later, Ueda notched a goal and was assisted by sophomore Tony Thompson (Skowhegan, ME).
Husson extended the lead in the 65th minute as Ody found sophomore Nattapong Kongsuriya (Bangkok, Thailand) to make it 3-0.
Senior Harrison Deah (Monrovia, Liberia) assisted on a goal by sophomore Kevin Melega (Easthampton, MA) at 66:08 to put the Monks on the scoreboard 3-1.
The Eagles had the final word, however, as freshman Hiroshi Iwabuchi (Ibaraki-ken, Japan) scored in the 83rd minute.
Freshman Greg Cavanaugh (Haverhill, MA) had 3 saves for St. Joe's and freshman Bradley Ala (Caribou, ME) got the win for the Eagles.
