STANDISH, Maine – The 2017 Saint Joseph's College men's soccer team recently completed the most successful campaign in program history, with numerous team and individual records falling and various top-10 national rankings. With the season now in the rearview, let's take a look back, BY THE NUMBERS:

0 – ZERO losses

.047 – goals against average this fall – the lowest mark in NCAA Men's Soccer history

.952 – won-lost-tied percentage, a new team record and best mark in NCAA DIII Men's Soccer

.983 – cumulative save percentage this season – the best save rate in NCAA Men's Soccer history

1 – goal allowed in 1,930 minutes

2 – consecutive conference championships – first time in program history

2 – consecutive GNAC Coach of the Year accolades for Adrian Dubois

2:26 – time elapsed while junior forward Brett Mattos (Mahopac, N.Y.) scored three goals in a in a 5-0 win over Suffolk on September 30th – the fourth-fastest time in which a player netted three tallies in NCAA DIII Men's Soccer history

2.38 – points per game by Mattos, the seventh-highest total in NCAA DIII this fall

3 – major player conference honors at the end of the season with Mattos, junior defender Dalton Gaumer (Corona, Calif.), and junior goalkeeper Blake Mullen (Manchester, Conn.) earning GNAC Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and Goalkeeper of the Year awards, respectively

4 – seniors on this year's roster: Sean Baker (Medfield, Mass.), Daniel Fox (South Portland, Maine), Justin Karageorge (North Smithfield, R.I.), and Trevor Lopes (Cumberland, R.I.)

4 – goals scored by Mattos in the win over Suffolk on September 30th – the most ever netted by an SJC player in a single game

4 – categories in which the Monks paced NCAA DIII Men's Soccer this season (save percentage, shutout percentage, team goals against average, and won-lost-tied percentage)

5 – the Monks ranked fifth nationally in assists (62) and assists per game (2.95)

6 – SJC ranked sixth in goals (67), total points (196), and points per game (9.33) in the country

9 – All-Conference honorees (Mattos, Gaumer, Mullen, Strobino, Lopes, Twomey, Robinson, Taylor, and Duncan)

10 – wins at the Monks' new field, the SJC Athletics Complex, this fall; St. Joe's outscored opponents by a 36-0 margin on their new turf this season

14 – assists by sophomore Cody Elliott (Gorham, Maine) – the most in SJC single-season history and the sixth-highest total in NCAA DIII Men's Soccer

15 – game winning streak (starting with a 1-0 win over Bowdoin on September 19th and ending with a 2-1 NCAA Tournament triumph over Mitchell on November 11th) – the longest win string in team history

15 – career game-winning goals for Mattos, a new SJC career record

15 – different players scored at least one goal this fall

17 – national ranking in the November 7th D3Soccer.com poll

19 – victories for Saint Joseph's this fall, the most in team history

20 – shutouts recorded by the Monks this season, a total that is tied for the second most in NCAA DIII history with UC-Santa Cruz (2006) and Calvin (2015); Drew University posted 21 clean sheets in 2003
