Men's Swimming Falls to Regis College, 151-80

STANDISH, ME – Regis College defeated Saint Joseph's, 151-80, in men's swimming action at the Harold Alfond Center Pool on Saturday.

Thomas Smith '14 (New Hartford, Conn.) led the Monks' efforts with runner-up performances in the 1000-Free (11:36.40), 50-Breast (32.28) and 100-Breast (1:12.62) competitions while Kevin Towne '12 (Shrewsbury, Mass.) notched second-place times in the 50-Back (28.98) and 100-Back (1:02.95) and set a new team record when he placed third with a 26.93 effort in the 50-Fly.

Chris Cullity '15 (North Reading, Mass.) added runner-up times in the 200-Free (2:03.43) and 500-Free (5:31.57) and John Holmes '15 (Norwood, Mass.) finished second in the 50-Free (23.32).

Saint Joseph's will next compete in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship at Simmons College on December 3rd and 4th.
