Robinson & Gryskwicz Garner GNAC Weekly Accolades

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and a pair of Saint Joseph's College swimmers have been honored.

Freshman Alicia Robinson (Gorham, Maine) has been named as the GNAC Women's Swimming Rookie and Athlete of the Week while sophomore Zack Gryskwicz (Standish, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week. The weekly award is a career-first for both swimmers.

Robinson won the 50-Free (28.05), placed second in the 100-Free (1:01.52), and was third in the 200-Free (2:14.45) while swimming a leg in the Monks' runner-up 400-Free (4:09.90) relay finish in a double-dual with Husson and Gordon on Saturday.

Gryskwicz posted a trio of runner- up finishes and set a new program record with a 19:07.30 time in the 1650-Free in the double-dual meet with the Eagles and Fighting Scots on Saturday.

Saint Joseph's will wrap up the 2016-17 season with an appearance in the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships at the University of Rhode Island on February 17th, 18th, and 19th.
