Monks Compete at Husson University

BANGOR, Maine – The Saint Joseph's men's and women's swim teams posted a pair of runner-up performances in a dual meet at Husson University on Friday evening. The women fell by a 153-79 score while the men lost, 155-58.

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Senior Ryan Watson (Bangor, Maine) was second in the 1000-Free (11:45.50) and 100-Free (58.19) events and fourth in the 100-Fly (1:13.78)
  • Sophomore Shawn Perry (Plaistow, N.H.) finished second in the 100-Back (1:10.98) and third in the 100-Fly (1:08.93) with a 1:09.76) time in the 100-IM
  • Senior Michael Hagerty (Yarmouth, Maine) placed third in the 500-Free (6:52.92)fourth in the 200-Free (2:21.46) and fifth in the 100-Free (1:04.19)
  • Senior Joseph Nichols (Tyngsborough, Mass) was fourth in the 50-Back (34.24) and posted a 32.16 time in the 50-Fly and a 1:22.60 effort in the 100-IM

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Sophomore Brooke Podsiadlo (Granby, Mass.) won the 200-Free (2:10.92), placed second in the 50-Fly (31.83), and was fourth in the 100-Back (1:09.61)
  • Freshman Tiffany Twombly (Sanford, Maine) won all three of her events at Husson University with top times in the 50-Back (31.33), 100-Back (1:07.77), and 100-IM (1:09.65)
  • Sophomore Ashley Thompson (Granby, Mass.) placed third in the 50-Breast (38.72) and 100-Breast (1:22.38) events and was fourth in the 50-Fly (35.66)
  • Sophomore Rylie Perron (Wells, Maine) finished fourth in the 200-Free (2:33.90) and 100-Free (1:10.40) races and was fifth in the 50-Fly (38.11)
  • Senior Hannah Kibbin (Augusta, Maine) was fourth in the 50-Breast (39.93) and 100-Breast (1:30.42) races and notched a 1:23.96 time in the 100-IM
  • Sophomore Eliza Nadeau (Raymond, Maine) was third in the 50-Free (32.96) and fifth in the 50-Breast (43.76) and 100-Free (1:16.40) events
