Inaugural Indoor Varsity Track & Field Schedule Released

STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's indoor track teams will compete in a full slate of meets this winter as first-year varsity programs.

Elevated to NCAA DIII varsity status last May, the Monks will run, jump and throw in the program's first-ever varsity competition when the Royal Blue travel to Brunswick, Maine to participate in the Bowdoin Invitational on December 8th.

Following a truncated Christmas Break, St. Joe's heads to University of Southern Maine, for the first of two meets in Gorham, on January 5th. The Monks return to USM three weeks later, on January 26th, for the second Southern Maine Invitational of the season.

Sandwiched in between the USM events are meets at Bowdoin on January 12th and at Bates College on January 19th.

Championship season kicks off after the latter USM meet, as Saint Joseph's runs in the Maine State Intercollegiate Championship at Southern Maine on February 2nd in what will be a primer for the two-day New England NCAA DIII Championship at Tufts University on February 15th and 16th.

St. Joe's then travels to Manhattan to compete in the ECAC DIII Championship at the historic New York Armory New Balance Track & Field Center on February 28th and March 1st.

Saint Joseph's athletes qualifying for nationals will trek to North Central College in Naperville, Illinois for the two-day NCAA DIII National Championship on March 8th and 9th.
