NASHUA, NH - The Saint Joseph's Men's Cross Country team placed sixth, with 165 points, in the GNAC Championship 8K at Rivier College on Saturday afternoon. Jeremy Allen '10 (Rutland, VT) led the Monks with a 12th place finish after touring the course in 29:19.84.
With the top three finishers, and six of the top nine overall, Johnson & Wales dominated the event with 17 points - 63 ahead of runner-up Norwich University. Greg Redfield took home individual honors with a 27:14.81 effort, 10 clicks ahead of teammate James Vance.
Emerson (80 points), Emmanuel (82) and Lasell (123) placed before St. Joe's, while Suffolk (192), Rivier (265) and Albertus Magnus (280) closed out the field.
Andrew Moravick '10 (Biddeford, ME) placed 40th with a 34:13.70 performance, Jeffrey Letellier '12 (Biddeford, ME) was 42nd with a 33:55.42 effort and Andrew Mockler '12 (Saco, ME) toured the course in 34:13.70 to earn a 43rd place finish.
Saint Joseph's will compete in the ECAC Championships, hosted by Williams College, on Saturday, November 7th at 12:00 PM.
