STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Cross Country Runner & Rookie of the Week.

Pelletier toured the 8K UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational course in 26:23, the 10th fastest time by an NCAA DIII runner and good for 69th overall in a field of more than 300 runners. The time also is the best by an SJC runner since 2008 when Ryan Prescott '09 recorded the same time at the Pop Crowell Invitational.

Through three weeks the sophomore standout has claimed a total of five GNAC weekly accolades with three Runner of the Week honors and a pair of GNAC top rookie awards.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Maine State Championship in Bangor on Saturday, September 30th.
