Hatch Nabs Co-Pitcher of the Week Honors

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College sophomore Sydney Hatch (Newburgh, Maine) has been named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week.

Hatch claims her first GNAC weekly accolade after spinning a gem in a 6-2 win over Bates College on Wednesday, when the second-year starting pitcher allowed two unearned runs off four hits with four strikeouts in seven innings.

In four starts this spring, Hatch sports a 5.08 ERA with a 2-2 record and five strikeouts over 20.2 innings.

Hatch shares the weekly honor with Dean College sophomore Zoe Coleman (Warwick, R.I.), who allowed two runs on eight hits with two strikeouts  in a complete-game victory over Rivier University.
