Four SJC Women’s Skiers Earn All-Reynolds Division Accolades

STANDISH, Maine – The 2023 United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) Reynolds Division regular season is in the books and four Saint Joseph's College women's alpine skiers have earned All-Reynolds Division accolades.

Sophomore Maddie Zordan (New Hartford, Conn.) and junior Courtney Pingree (Marblehead, Mass.) have claimed First Team All-Reynolds Division honors while juniors Maeghan Perkins (Turner, Maine) and Erica Irvin (Windham, N.H.) have been listed on the Second Team.

Zordan earns First Team All-Division acclaim for the second-consecutive season after posting five podium finishes, including a pair of individual victories, during an outstanding sophomore campaign. She finished second in the Reynolds Division with 494 individual points and posted wins in the slalom and giant slalom races at Titcomb Mountain on February 5th.

Pingree also collects First-Team honors for the second year in a row after registering four podium efforts – two runner-up times and a pair of third-place performances – for 425 points, the fourth-highest total in the division this winter.

Perkins takes home Second Team All-Division for the second-consecutive season after recording 288 points during her junior year.

Irvin, a two-time First Team All-Division selection, claims Second Team accolades after totaling 267 points, the eighth-highest total in the Reynolds Division, during the 2023 season.

Saint Joseph's posted a pair of team wins with seven runner-up performances this season and completed the regular-season docket in second place in the Reynolds Division with 16 place points. UMaine-Farmington edged out the Monks for the top slot with 13 place points. As a team, the Monks posted nine podium finishes – two wins, three second-place efforts, and four third-place times – this winter.

For the second time in as many seasons, both SJC teams will compete in the USCSCA Regionals, which take place this Saturday (giant slalom) and Sunday (slalom) at Sugarloaf. Races are set to begin at 9:30 AM both days.
