STANDISH, Maine – The 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® women's basketball teams have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior guard Hailey Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) has earned the high honor.
To claim the prestigious accolade, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore status, be a starter or major contributor, and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Anderson, a Biology/Pre-Physician's Assistant major, has played in every game during her sophomore and junior seasons as a major contributor off the bench for the Monks. This season, the sharpshooting guard is averaging 8.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 40.2% (76-189) from the field, 34.9% (37-106) from downtown, and 90.3% (28-31) from the free throw line.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
